Hi Robert
I agree with you that I am a beginner at Flying Stars. I have just begun Joseph Yu,s 3 courses including Flying Stars. So I hope that I will soon understand the basic foundations clearly.
I understood --+ to mean yin reverse, yin reverse, yang forward, which determines whether the Mountain and water stars float in a yin or yang direction based on the 24 mountains of the Lo pan compass.
My confusion was with the #5 star which did not have a direction in the Lo-Pan. Do I undersand correctly that I use the period star to determine the Yin or Yang attibute.
Thanks again Robert and sorry for the foolish questions.I hope they will become more intellegent soon.
Best wishes
Bill

Excellent site. The best for beginners and for more advanced "amateurs". Hopefully, I will continue learning from it, and eventually become a premium member. Keep it up and prosper.... (I am learning that myself from my slow progress in I Ching and Fengshui).
