Dear Michele,
In Feng Shui, it is not favoured to have too many pipes running below the house for two main reasons:-
1. Having too much water or `water running' especially at the floor area is not ideal. As water is considered `difficulty'.
2. This point has to do more with commonsense approach:-
`Wear and Tear' - since pipes often expand and contract, there are often known cases of some of these pipes that perhaps due to poor quality control or wear and tear. I heard of some homes (not sure if they are true) that often have leaks. In fact, in the past, one or two of the members had mentioned this.
Para 1, has more to do with 2. If the pipes do not leak or water condense outside these pipes, then there is relatively no issue.
Honestly, I am not too familiar with the mechanics or installation of such piping.
I feel so long as you have consulted an honest and reliable consultant and work properly done, I feel that there should not be an issue here.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
