Dear Anon,
1. If we look at the foundation or basics, even sites like Geomancy.net applys the five elements concept to the website.
2. For example, the main page or home page of this site is designed to fit our Ba Zi.
3. Even the logos are tailored to our ba zi.
4. Geomancy University's logo is also based on the combination of Metal with water combination.
5. Our Free resources or learning resources are in Green or wood element to symbolise growth.
6. In fact there are many more examples, even within this website. Colour schemes are also blended to harmonise with the various Five elements - element combination.
7. Although, this is not a proven area - of use, since the internet is relatively new; there is relatively NO HARM trying to experiment or apply the Five elements concept.
8. This website has been on since 1996, and we have been designing our logos, pages etc... since then based on the Five elements concept.
9. Therefore, there is really nothing new nor a secret. That, Five elements are or has been used here or may be used by other websites.
10. Looking back, overall, we have been quite successful. But here, it is difficult to place it on Five Elements or other reasons.
11. If one looks carefully, on the productive sequence of the five elements concept, the colours starting from Metal (white / gold), next Water (blue, black or gray) and Wood (green or brown) - quite closely resemble an interior decorator's harmonising colour schemes.
For example white often go with blue.
Earth tones, often goes with red pink or purple etc...

In some of the past messages on this forum, in-fact, this question had been asked as far back as 1997.
In fact, if one search "hard enough", many of the questions recently asked are already available.
This is why, for the most often asked questions, I have asked users to try and do some homework themselves. This is not much to ask since it is simply clicking on SEARCH and typing in a few key words.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
