Chris and Cecil,
I would have to wonder if the personality of the animal wouldn't have an
effect on the chi of the home. Some animals are very docile and sweet,
while others are much more active and playful. Still others should have
never been allowed to become pets and belong in zoos. (or the bottom of the
ocean)
I've been in homes where horrible animals "ruled the roost" and the people
were mere servants of the animal. I can't believe that an animal like that
doesn't produce his/her own little version of sha-chi.
Of course it also can be argued that the home itself can be the cause of the
animal's good or bad traits. (as well as helping the person living there
being such a sap for punishment)
I firmly believe though that you have to be very careful what sort of
personalities you allow into your home. Whether they are dogs, cats, or
turtles.....they must not be allowed to change the comfort level of the home
for the worse. Becoming a slave to pets is commonplace anymore. That in
itself is fine as long as the pet produces good energy....but if you have a
dangerous pet, or one that is an irritation to you it's best to get rid of
it.

you)

User's Comments After browsing many many feng shui sites, I came to one conclusion: your site is the most sensible, reasonable and helpful one of all. I've been to sites where they want to sell you just about anything and everything. The information they are willing to give is so trivial and one senses that the only thing they are interested in is to make money and sell you products that might and might not fit in with your decor or your culture, and of course doesn't serve the purpose of curing and or enhancing. Sorry for the long message, but I have a friend who spent a fortune buying all types of figurines to cure then to enhance and then eventually all she got was more figures on her credit card and no luck! I believe that what one should do is get your advise first because it makes so much sense and it is always sincere. I also believe that people should buy things that pleases their eye and provide a sense of beauty and balance. Again sorry for the long message and thank you for a wonderful site.
