Dear Anon,
In my opinion, it is best not to use DIRECTION " Feng Shui ".
1. Although each Gua (Kua) or Trigram has a specific significance or meaning, many authors are churning out tons of books on it.
2. It is very easy to understand why authors can make money out of it (plus in my opinion hurt many people).
It is so easy, for each of us to `imagine' and come with a such a book:
3. For example, since there are 8 `directions' or trigram; with some imagination or addition of our intrepretation of a direction come with with a book such as:
Chapter 1 : Introduction
Chapter 2 : Career Sector (North)
What it means?
What to buy?
Go buy it...
Chapter 3 : Mentor Sector (North West)
4. If we continue the flow, and if one has something to write about `Career' then `Mentor' one can easily come up with a book to sell on CORNER Feng Shui.
5. In my opinion, it is because it is so easy to write books focusing on CORNER Feng Shui that many (many) book authors try to captialise on this.
6. In earlier forum messages, I mentioned that these authors are advocating `fixed theories'.
How can it be that for 100,000 or 2 million people that say their career sector is at the NE.
Similiarly, how is it possible for all those who want to find romance have to pay homage to the South West corner?
Take the case of 2 guys trying to date the same office colleague.
Imagine, the first guy placing 12 roses on the SW of his office table. The second person, trying to outdo this guy places 100 roses at the SW corner of his table.
By logic since the second guy had done more than the first guy in enhancing his romance corner.. does it mean that he has a better chance of dating the office colleague?
The end result may be that both (who were too confident on only relying on CORNER Feng Shui) just sit there and HOPE. In the end, someone else (other than this two guys) who had the courage to date her, finally married her in the future.
7. Thus, ROMANCE corner cannot be considered as simply at SW.
8. One cannot also say for sure that when one enters the front door, the WEALTH corner is at the far left corner. What happens if the main door is at the side of the house.
Nowadays, especially for those living in high rise condominiums, the main door is usually at the `back' of the house. This is where, at the opposite end, the balcony is over looking the water position such as the swimming pool...
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
