Dear Anon (Hidden from Privacy),
1. If one uses a Ba Gua mirror, it should have a convex mirror at the centre (e.g. like those placed at car park blind spots.
It should not be concave as this is meant to `absorb' rather than deflect.
2. For your mum's room, ideally, you could use curtains. For example, two layers of curtain i.e. day curtain and night curtain.
In the day time, day curtain could be used to shield against this poison arrow.
