Dear Gina,
Frankly, it is very difficult for me to give advise based on general statements. Hope you understand.
As for a mirror at a staircase landing... this can be considered a good thing (especially) if it is a private home where one has an upper floor. A mirror at the starcase landing is side to help or aid Qi flow upwards (up-stairs). However, if it is common property.. I am not sure if the landlord allows it.
Frankly, I find it "not advisable" to hang a crystal ball from the top frame of the door. However, if I were given the choice, I would rather place 6 coins inside the house (above the same door frame instead of a crystal ball). Here, the belief is that perhaps crystal ball may represent the Earth element and it may inadvertenly invoke more bad earth element bad #5 misfortune or #2 sickness into the house. An alternative is that one may consider hanging (instead) a wind chime) outside the door below the door frame. Here, it is to negate reducing the `bad qi' of two main entrance doors facing each other.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
