Overall, the Grand Duke Theory for most of us is related only to the renovation of our home. That is this theory is widely used by Feng Shui Masters to guide home owners and caution them where not to do a major renovation.
Other than this, you need not be concerned with the Grand Duke Theory although it has one portion that says about the `sleeping' position. For `sleeping' position, it would be best to use the Eight House Theory i.e. if your North direction e.g. is a good or auspicious direction e.g Health, Prosperity, Longevity or Excellent, then you should try to sleep with your >Head, facing this good direction.
