I have recently purchased a houseboat. This is not a floating home, but a boat that has the features of a small apartment. It is 12ft wide and has a small 9X8ft room that has been added to the top. For Feng Shui it presents a number of problems.
1. The door to the only bathroom is visible upon entering the boat. If I mirror this door as is often suggested, it will reflect the galley (kitchen) rather than anything more scenic. Hanging things from the ceiling is out of the question because the boat is constantly in motion and things tend to rattle around. There is a narrow wall space (about 8 inches)next to the bathroom door that angles out toward the front door. Could I mirror this and paint the door the same color as the surrounding walls to effect a bathroom cure?
2. The bathroom itself is small and the toilet is the first thing seen upon entering. Mirroring the walls is expensive. Can I use mirrored tiles? or Can I arrange a series of different small mirrors on each of the walls?
3. There is a mirror behind the stove, but it stops at my shoulders. Should I get rid of it? or Can I place a different mirror on the door of the cabinet above?
I am new to Feng Shui, and I am unclear about how to orient the Ba Gua when moving from room to room. If I enter from my career center and the bedroom on my left is in my knowledge center, how do I locate the BaGua when I enter the bedroom? Do I start all over when I reach that door? That is, upon entering the new room is the wall behind me still the career wall or is it the knowledge wall?
Any assistance you could provide would be helpful.
